In checking on a rental it was mentioned that no view of the water from the unit in the winter because of a large sand wall placed on beach from I believe Nov-April.
Is this standard in this area & if so how far does this wall extend? Not able to get a response to this question from rental agency.
During certain months, they build a large sand berm on the beach,to protect the homes from flooding.A combination of high tides and high surf sometimes flood the low lying areas near the beach.
I'm not exactly sure of the length of the wall ,but it is fairly common in that town.
You can easily walk over the berm but won't be able to see over or around it (there may be a view from the second floor of the rental).
