Seal Beach has limited beach dining - Kinda Lahaina on the corner of Main and Ocean has a great location - but the food is pitiful - steamed veg, rice, fish stuff - not interesting. Ruby's on the end of the pier is fun for a casual lunch. But the best water front dining experience is at McKenna's on the Bay, just a short stroll from old town Seal Beach towards the north/west - truly easy walk. This place is located adjacent to Seal Beach in Alamitos Bay/Harbor, far less touristy than Huntington Beach, very pleasant to stroll around, with a few reasonable other dining alternatives - Joe's Crab Shack, the Crab Pot, Khoury's, and Buster's Beach House - but of all of them, if you want a great dining experience do McKenna's - you can book a table via opentable.com website, and request window seating. You'll be right on the water.
