Back in the 1980's, there was a steakhouse near Travis AFB, which, if memory serves, was in San Bernadino...

This restaurant had two claims to fame, I suppose...

One was that waiters/waitresses would literally cut neckties off the restaurant patron's neck, when a guest would come in wearing a tie, and the employees would attach the tie to the rafters/walls, which were both covered with the ties of previous customer contributions...

Second, the restaurant cooked their steaks over an open pit, using logs of mesquite wood, and sold their steaks by the ounce...

If anyone recognizes the name of this steakhouse, I would be very greatful if you would share that information with me! Thanks in advance for your time!

There's also a restaurant in AZ called Pinnacle Peak and it's near Davis Monthan AFB in Tucson. Neckties all over the ceiling and steak by the ounce. Our 12-year old son still talks about it and he was 5 at the time.

I REALLY appreciate your assistance! Is it possible that the name of the restaurant could be "Pinnacle Peak" instead of "Piccolo Pete's"? I did find a web site that lists a restaurant named "Pinnacle Peak", located at 2533 La Cadena Road. Do you think that is the restaurant I am looking for? Thanks SO MUCH for everyone's help!!!
