1st time in Los Olivos this April: winery & other tips?

Hey Everybody,

I'll be taking my parents on a trip to San Luis Obispo (our first time) this coming April and would love to hear about any places not to be missed.

For example, should I definitely visit Firestone Grill for their tri-tip sandwich... or is there somewhere better?

Also were thinking of stopping by the Kelsey See Winery for a tasting. IF ANYONE ELSE HAS MUST-SEE WINERY RECOMMENDATIONS or other places not to me missed IN SLO, please post here.

You posted in the Los Olivos Forum, but you're asking about things to do around San Luis Obispo. Which destination should we answer for?

If SLO, then don't miss the Edna Valley wine country south of town. My favorite tasting room is at the Edna Valley Winery, which has beautiful views overlooking the vineyards out toward a dormant volcano from their tasting room: http://www.ednavalleyvineyard.com/index.cfm?

SLO is near several coastal towns worth a visit: Avila Beach, Morro Bay, Cambria. And Hearst Castle is about an hour away.

Dining: Novo, Gold Rush Steak House @ The Madonna Inn, Louisa's Place (breakfast), Buona Tavola, Apple Farm

I haven't tried Firestone Grill, but I hear good things about it.
