What hotel? I'm pretty sure you are mistaken, all hotels give in and out privileges.

If you're at the Hyatt, which is in Century City, not Beverly Hills (and not all that near to Rodeo Drive), you will have to use your car. Pay the extra money so you can get where you need to go - the Hyatt has no nearby parking at all - none. There's the Century City mall, but that would cost much more money going in and out and also walking back and forth all the time.

Parking garages don't give you in and out privileges either. Each time you go out you have to pay and then when you reenter you start the charge again.

That is about right for big LA hotels. In Century City you have zero street parking options, it is not allowed and very limited other choices for parking, maybe none, that are cheaper.

There are no through streets that take you to Rodeo (as the crow flies). You have to walk to Santa Monica to Wilshire to get to Rodeo, basically going around it to get to it.

Walking map from your hotel to Rodeo Drive:

http://mapq.st/UEk2Km

It's 1.3 miles (33 minutes) and it's a BORING walk since Santa Monica Bl has a wall of trees running along the north side (facing Century City) and the street itself is PACKED with traffic -- either idling and spewing out exhaust fumes or whizzing by. I'd pay for the in/out parking or change your hotel.
