Restaraunts in Beverly Hills

For a special birthday dinnerwe can't decide between Cut, Grill on the Alley, Spago, Nic's in Beverly Hills, CBouchon, Wolfagang's Steakhouse, or the Belvedere.

Any recommendations between these spots?

Thank you

Of those, my choice would be Cut.

I would choose the newly remodeled Spago. Cut is a close second.

Depends on the experience you want, but Cut and Spago would be the two top choices with the Belvedere third.

Wolfgang isn't the chef at any of his restaurants (Cut is his, too) and hasn't been for many many many years. Spago is considered the best restaurant in LA on many lists (along with Providence, Melisse, and others) Cut is also fantastic. Getting into Spago since it reopened is quite difficult, make reservations well in advance.

Wolfgang hasn't chefed at Spago for years, maybe not since the BH location replaced the Bistro Garden. He is like Nobu or Gordon Ramsey now (or they like him), he sets up the restaurants with top chefs and personnel and make sure it meets the standards that he established. That is how you run a chef based empire.
