One reason you are hitting dead ends looking for sports bars in Russellville is that it is in a dry county. Yeah that's right - no liquor - er well not exactly.... One way to get around this is to go to a place called the Dardanelle Club at the "old" Holiday Inn, now managed by Hawthorne Suites 479-968-4300. There you "fill out paperwork" and magic! you are a member of the private club and can order a drink. They have two TV's and they show football whenever it is on. I have seen the place once and unless things have changed, it's an old school Holiday Inn "lounge". It should be safe and adequate, but don;t expect hi-tech. If you are really intent on a first class sports bar, and no one else knows of one in R'ville, just up I-40 in downtown Conway is a really great multi/wide-screen set-up, Old Chicago. www.oldchicago.com/conway. I watched a recent game there while my kid was at a volleyball tournament and found it a really attractive, clean, welcoming place with pretty good food and a great video set-up. Now if you can just think of a way Arkansas can beat Auburn....

Here is a better idea: Ruby Tuesday ( 115 East Harrell Drive, Russellville, near hwy 7 exit off I-40). The food is decent and place pretty nice. No sports bar arena-type screen set-up but TV will be going. You might call them at 479-858-7151 if you have any questions. The young kicker with great potential, Zach Hocker, is a local boy from RVille and hopefully Auburn will let us get close enough to the end zones for Zach to make a few field goals.
