All three seem very similar Candles and Edom are $57 and Moon is $40 per room. Anybody stayed in one of them and has a preference?

What hotel is closer to the visitor center that you can walk to?

Are sheets and bathrooms clean?

Is breakfast/ dinner buffet different or the same everywhere?

Just looking for clean room and close by location to Petra entrance.

Thanks

Just returned from Jordan, stayed at Petra Palace Hotel 10 mins from Visitor Centre. Beds and bathrooms clean and not bad for price paid! Breakfast same every day, but loads of choice. Evening meals differ daily in the Hotel. Several restaurants line the 'main' street so you have a choice of food. Movenpick Hotel is closer to the entance to Petra but by all accounts (from those in our group), probably not worth the extra expense.

Must 'plug' a good experience- if you are interested in food spend an evening at the Petra Kitchen on the ground floor of the 'Made in Jordan' shop, very close to the Petra Palace Hotel. Here you can participate in a cookery 'class' where you learn how to make genuine Jordanian food and get to eat it at the end of the evening. Good fun and you meet interesting people too!

Finally, good quality walking shoes are a must if you intend to walk to the principal sites of Petra. Walking poles are helpful too if you hike up to the Place of HIgh Sacrifice and other less accessible sites. Can't recommend Petra highly enough, had a brilliant holiday, hope you enjoy yours.

I don´t know the other, but forget about the Edom.

The room was not clean.
