i always take $us and english pounds both are wideley excepted in d.r but keep an eye on the exchange rate its easy to get ripped off

We just came back from there and we had the best time ever. Even with all the bad reviews.

We range from 24-31.

We made freinds of all ages and races.

The weather was amazing.

Out of the 7 days we were there it rained for 1.5 hours and it was still so nice out people were swimming in the pool.

The animation staff is amazing. Look for DAVIS and ALBERTI.

We were going for fun. And we had a blast.

Some people were complaining about not having remotes for their TV.....hello you're on vacation. And we saw 2 cockroaches....woopdie doo.

We had a nice room and hot running water.

They do have a mini disco for kids that runs until about 8:30.

After that it's all for the adults. Whether it be the contest or the nightly shows. All amazing.

Please if you would like to know more I have lots to say.

I wish we didn't have to come home.

We stayed for 1 and returned Jan 31. We all wish we were still there. We range from ages 24-31

We stayed at the Talanquera and LOVED it.

We were a little nervous because of all the bad reviews.

But we were going to have fun, not watch TV or complain about the food or our room or anything else all the snobs were complaining about. Our room was clean, we had hot water and I ate more there then I do at home.

Davis, one of the animation staff really went out of his way for us. And no our whole group wasn't girls. And he knew we had boyfriends. Actualy the entire animation staff was great.

Just prepare to have fun and join in the activities.

The only problem we ran into was getting into our room. That took about an hour. Just be patient and get a drink.

We would deffinetly go back.

Kellish: i'm considering going to the talanquera with a girlfriend due to its lower cost. i've read a lot of bad reviews on it (including theft from hotel rooms). i'm not a high maintenance person at all so i'm not too concerned about the condition of the room so long as it's safe and clean. can you tell us about the beach? is it white sand? rocky? calm/choppy waters? thanks!

Hi, I'm going to that hotel in september for 2 weeks, and I'm worried about the bad reviews... Are there really such bad things happening there?

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to swim with dolphins around there?

Hi just got back from talanquera its absolutley wonderful, very hot!!!!!!! Our room was fantastic, the air conditioning is wonderful!!!!! the food was good, go on the trip to saonna island its paradise!!!!!!! We are definatley going back next year, you will have a great time, as long as you just keep remembering it is a 3 star hotel!!!!!!!! Have Fun!!!!! Im sure you will.
