Spent 4 days in Santo

We have just spent 4 nights at Moyyan House by the Sea for our 25th wedding anniversary after seeing it on getaway. Moyyan was better then we expected, the setting is perfect and a great place to unwind. Moyyan only accommodates 8 guests at a time so there is no over crowding. Breakfast and dinner can be shared with other gests or you can have a romantic dinner by yourself. They sell Australian, New Zealand and French wines, beer and spirits. Sally who manages the resort goes out of her way to make your stay a special one. The food was excellent and plenty off it. If you want a special dinner you only have to ask and she will do her best to make it happen. The fares are spacious and clean and make most of the natural timber from the island. The blue hole was great and so was the day trip to champagne beach and the local villages. We would highly recommend staying at Moyyan.

Happy to answer any questions!

Thanks Cat for an inspiring trip report.

Was there a good reef nearby for snorkelling?

How were the roads?

Hi Jen

We did not do any snorkelling this trip but some other guests who were staying at Moyyan said that the snorkelling is good out the front of Moyyan, there are some reefs which you can swim to. Also if you use there canoes or rubber dingy and go around the point you can see the dugongs as well.

Apparently there is good diving and snorkelling around the wreck the coolidge just off of Luganville.

The roads were graded and not too bad, but half way going to champagne beach there were some pot holes so the drive was a bit slow, but enjoyable as well.
