We will be coming from Manuel Antonio area and need a place to stay I guess in Dominical... only because it's on the way to Uvita, and well, we have reservations to stay in Uvita Monday-Thursday (Nov 12-15). Any recommendations? 2 adults; we're a couple.
If there is any town in between Manuel Antonio and Uvita worth staying, please let me know. We will most likely have a car; 4x4.
That whole stretch of the central pacific coast is now connected by a paved, well-maintained highway. It's only about an hour from Jaco to Manuel Antonio/Quepos, and another 50 minutes or so to Dominical. From Dominical another 15-20 minutes to Uvita.
In between, the only major beach town is Matapalo, which is cool if you want a taste of the undeveloped, slightly forgotten Costa Rica.
Not a town as such but you might enjoy some time at Hacienda Baru - near Dominical

Manuel Antonio to Dominical is about 45 min easy drive
Manuel Antonio to Uvita is about 1 hour easy drive
All paved ecellent road all the way
Matapalo beach is a small comunity between Manuel Antonio and Dominical
So you really do not need to overnight on the way, I would either extend the stay in Manuel Antonio for one night or in Uvita.
The Dominical & Uvita "area" is very spread with very few lodgings in the actual towns but more spread accross the mountains. Sometimes Hotels are next to each other and one lists as Dominical wille the other as Uvita..
Try Hotel Cuna del Angel in dominical.

Of course once in Uvita ...Tikivillas is one of the best places aroundm..great suites...incredible nice ocean views.

If you want to try something very unique, look into Rafiki http://www.rafikisafari.com/ They are located in the mountainous region between Quepos and Dominical in primary rainforest. It would definitely be a different experience from the beaches. Enjoy!
