Day Hiking in the Superstitions

Could you recommend a couple of moderate day hikes in the superstition mountains. We will be staying in Scotsdale.

Peralta Trail as as far as Fremont Saddle, moderate. Won't take a day, but you can always venture on a bit from the saddle towards Weaver's Needle. This is a trail where you can't get lost. The scenery is overwhelming.

Very easy and pretty short: hieroglyphic canyon trail.

A bit more strenuous, but terrific, out of Lost Dutchman SP: Siphon Draw. If you go there, take a look at Goldfield across the road!

Not in the Superstitions, but close and with great views - Pass Mountain or Wind Cave trails in Usery Mountain Regional Park.

We are headed out to Hieroglyphic trail this afternoon!
