One day in Phoenix with a soccer team

We'll be in Phoenix for a soccer tournament mid February. We'll have one day post tournament to occupy a bunch of 13 year old boys. Any suggestions of must see/do activities that they might like? We're stayting at the Pointe Hilton Resort so preferably something relatively close by.

Thanks!

Check and see if the hotel's pool and water features are heated. There are two Pointe Hiltons next to each other, and one has water play features, and the other doesn't, but guests from either hotel can go either place.

Good Mexican food at Aunt Chilada's just outside the hotel grounds to the south.

Give them a mountain to climb! Make sure they stay on-trail or they could get airlifted off in one of our medic helicopters. Great way to burn off some energy and close to your hotel.

If funds allow, drive up to Sedona for a thrilling Pink Jeep tour of the red rocks, they will never forget it. Stop for pie along Interstate 17 at Rock Springs Cafe, an old stage coach stop turned saloon and pie cafe.

The pools are of course heated, they are resorts. The Pointe at Squaw Peak and the Pointe Tapatio are 4.4 miles apart. The former features "four acres of pools, waterfalls, lazy river, waterslide" while the latter says "deluxe water feature includes a 40-foot waterfall and two expansive free-form pools. ... A 138-foot enclosed waterslide is the crown jewel of the water park."

You might check out CrackerJax on North Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale. It has bungy dome, miniature golf and a batting cage among other attraction. Things that will work off some steam. If you are at the Pointe at Squaw Peak, do try Aunt Chiladas, which is just across the street. Great Mexican food.
