Akademie Street Guest Houses in Franschhoek.

(You will have your own private Guest House for two).

Batavia Boutique Hotel in Stellenbosch, Alluvia Wine Estate near Stellenbosch, Palmiet Valley Estate in Paarl.

Have a look at southafrica-stay.com for more accommodation options.

There are numerous lovely places to stay in the Winelands. You will definitely have a hard time choosing. I would personally recommend staying in Franschhoek.

Another lovely place is the Spier wine estate, they have a few restaurants on site and a Cheetah reserve and an outdoor theatre besides being in a very convenient place to explore Stellenbosch and Franschoek.

We just returned from staying in Franshoek at a small vineyard B&B called La Petite Ferme. Fabulous view of valley and mountains, good service, romantic privatecottages with fridge full of wine and a gurgling plunge pool. Reasonably priced. Very close to main street and shops in Franshoek, though you will have to rent a car to go to Franshoek from Capetown. Lots of great restaurants in the town also. Vineyards everywhere.
