I am planning a trip to South Africa in 2010 for the FIFA World Cup. I will do all I can to get a TST (7 game ticket package) which would pretty much put me all over South Africa. (I had a chance to get TST tickets for Germany but passed).
Anyways, so far I've heard that it generally is safe to be in South Africa as long as you don't wander off to where you're not supposed to go. I also heard that going out in the day time is the way to go ......
Anyways, my questions are:
A) Due to the fact that there will be hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world, wouldn't this make it safer to travel/be in SA at this time?
B) I read on the fifa site that it is generally a 15-18 hour drive from Johannesburg to Cape Town and Port Elizabeth respectively......Is renting a car my best option? Is it safe to drive from city to city within South Africa?
C) Best way/option for me to get to see Victoria Falls? Is it relatively easy or is it pretty remote?
