This is my first trip to Arizona. My son is starting to fly at Goodyear, so I would like to rent property for a short time only - 1-2 weeks June 2009. Can anyone advise area etc?

Also, is June a better time to visit than September ? I realise it will be very hot, but thought June might be the better option?

Any tips will be very much appreciated.

I'm not very familiar with the area, but do know of Estrella Mountain Ranch and Pebble Creek communities. You could also look in Glendale which might give you more options - it is not far away and would be closer to activities around the valley. Try looking on vrbo.com/vacation-rentals/…phoenix-area.

As for weather - the first two weeks of June are typically tolerably hot because of not humidity. The really hot stuff is usually mid-June forward. The first two weeks of September will still be sticky, but the temps will be going down. The last part of Sept. is hot but nice at night. Of course - this is just a general idea. Nothing is exact with weather as we all know.
