Attending a wedding in Kiwanis Park help!

We will need accomodation in the area..is it downtown or central to anything else? Near restaurants? Hotel recommendations. We are also golfers..recommendation of any golf courses would be helpful.

The closest motels would be in the Arizona Mills area - Holiday Inn Express, Springhill Suites, several others (I-10 at Baseline exit). A choice of restaurants - Garcias in the mall, Claim Jumper, Joe's Crab Shack. If you want a resort the Arizona Grand is on the other side of I-10. There's also an Embassy Suites on Rural just south of 60 which wouldn't be far.

Thank you..I'm a little confused about the geography. Is the park in Tempe or Chandler? Tempe & Chandler..side by side? Do you know anything about the golf courses in the area? Is Cave Creek/Carefree..the closest resort area to Tempe?

Chandler borders Tempe on the south. The park is in Tempe. It's a large park - it's between Baseline and Guadalupe north and south and Kyrene and Rural east and west. Put Kiwanis park Tempe AZ into Google maps and it should come up. There is a Tempe city golf course (Kent McDonald) directly south of the park.

Scottsdale is the nearest resort area. Carefree/Cave Creek is about 30 miles north of Tempe.

You could stay in either downtown Scottsdale or Mill Avenue area of Tempe to be closer to restaurants within walking distance and other activities. Kiwanis Park is easy to get to from either.
