Best hotel pool for a child?

We are considering Egypt beaches for our holiday. Even with all the unrest we are hoping things settle down soon.

We want to make sure our child is happy on holiday and are looking for a hotel with the best, most fun, pool for a child.

I hate loud music and 7 days of it would drive me nuts but is there a balance between a great pool and calm?

Our child is an adequate swimmer and would also like a good slide. Good beach access is also important with reef for snorkeling. Am I asking for too much do you think? I am looking at Marsa Alam at the moment.

Can recommend Iberotel Samaya Resort in Coraya Bay, small hotel very family friendly within minutes from Marsa Alam airport.

You don't say what age. We stayed at sol y mar dar el madina in coraya bay. Next to the aqua park which is free to use. Quiet hotel, nice beach, good snorkelling. Not many Brits stay there though which might be a pain if your child likes socialising. Our teens speak French and Spanish so managed to make friends ok.

Go for the Hilton. Our children are grown up, but littlle ones were very well behaved when we were there-a clear sign they are well looked after. Fantastic house reef, great kids' pool and separate kiddies' corner. Top notch management. In our view the perfect family resort hotel.

Our child is nine and has autism. Verbal and high functioning but some kids find it weird. He likes other kids but doesn't get social rules. We try very hard!!!

That is why I wonder about a great pool and snorkeling as I will be by his side most of the time.

He sounds a bit like our middle lad who is now 13. We liked the el madina as it was not too over whelming. They have a large pool and a kiddie pool but the water park next door and also the beach give you a choice of places to go. If you find the pool too busy then the water park or beach was always quieter. The beach slopes gently and is sheltered from the wind which is great for kids snorkelling, you can also swim along the rope which is useful.

Meant to add our middle lad is just on the spectrum boarder, comes across as a bit quirky and lacking 'people skills' on the plus side he picks up languages well and has learned some Arabic. There wasn't too much noise, hustle and bustle at the el madina, it reduced sensory overload stress!
