My three travelers and I took the public boat from PP to Chau Doc and found it an efficient way to get to Chau Doc. Our stop at immigration was quick. When it came time to return to PP, we were persuaded to return by using Delta Adventure. Dang Dung (Steven) promised us a quick trip starting with a "private" boat ride to the border at which time we would be met by one on his air conditioned mini van which would take us directly to our hotel in PP. He indicated it would be quicker than the boat and provide a more interesting view. For an extra $15 per person he would take us to the floating village.
Going with Delta Adventure was a huge mistake. It ended up taking almost five hours more than the boat coming down. The boat(s) and the van(s) were over crowded. Our luggage ended up on one boat and us on another and we had to wait for the boat to return our luggage. We never were taken to the floating market and instead were deposited on land and had to wait two and a half hours for our boat to return. It was all very confusing and we were never told what was happening. It took us several hours at immigration and the Delta staff overcharged us $5 each for our visas. When we finally got to PP our driver claimed not to know we were to be taken to our hotel but said he would or additional payment. We refused and he eventually took us. I emailed "Steven" and to his credit he returned my email and apologized for our negative experience and has offered to refund our $15 floating market fee.
