Family of four (2 Adults, 1 moody teen and 1 seven yr old) travelling from the UK in a couple of weeks, first time to Bali and super excited.
We have sorted accommodation, a nice villa with great reviews out the way out the busy areas, based in Canngu not far from the Nirwana Bali Golf Course, those who know Bali will know where we are.
We have a driver, so seeing Bali is not a problem and after reading the forum for quite some time and doing our own bit of research, we have put a bit of a list of places to see, things to do etc.
Would love to get advice from all those in the know about good places to see, places to eat for a family like ours, not so bothered about the busy beaches, looking more for the quieter, real Bali, don't get me wrong will go and see the hustle and bustle but it won't be the main part of the holiday.
Also interested in money advice, plan to take uk debit card, even though I am aware of the charges etc, also some USD for he visa at the airport, and some pounds sterling that we will change when there, does anyone have a rough guide of what the exchange rate is with money changers, sorted what notes we are taking so they are in good condition etc, also good trustworthy money changers near where we are.
I know we may get bombarded with advice and some may suit, some may not but we will read all with great interest and use what we feel will suit.
Thank you to anyone who takes the time to respond.
