transport and meals staying at Edgewater

WE are staying at Edgewater for 6 days, the first week of April.

Can you please tell me if we will need a car to find places to eat and visit other beaches, or will we be able to use the local bus/taxis?

Are there places to eat that we can walk to from the Edgewater?

Kia Orana Gran,

It is likely that you wont need to hire a vehicle staying at the Edgewater. The bus service into town is a genuine 15 minutes, if that. And there are a number of alternative dining options within the immediate vicinity - for example Tumunu seafood restaurant, Crowne Beach, Alberto's, Kikau Hut, and the Sunset Resort being the nearest. These are all within reasonable walking distance, but it would be handy to pack a torch to help guide your way along the roadside after dark.

The Edgewater itself has 2 licenced restaurants with the main outdoors dining being all day, beachfront, while the Spagetti house located right beside the resort's main entrance. Dinner and cultural shows are held at their main restaurant. For takeaways and snack foods these can be found at the small local shops close to the Edgewater.

All the best for your stay.
