Poisson Cru

Wondering who has the best poisson cru on Moorea? Never had it, but eager to try it! Thanks!

The idea of the best kind of food anywhere reminds me of noodles in the Japanese movie Tampopo. However, I can't see Tahitian restaurateurs engaging in that kind of competition. Be sure also to order another dish, as poisson cru isn't the only good selection on Snack Mahana's menu.

Is Snack Mahana only open for lunch, not dinner?

Ok Thanks! Good to know as I was planning on having dinner there one night - will have to swap that for a lunch instead!

Any suggestions for restaurants or "snacks" that are open for dinner near Moorea Fare Miti (Haapiti)? We won't have a car so will be either walking or having to use a restaurant pick up service.

Sorry for hijacking this thread - looks like the OP got the info they needed re Poisson Cru though.

Thanks in advance!

Near Fare Miti, and within walking distance: Snack Jean-Claude (to the right as you exit, next door to old Moorea Village), all the rest to the left: Coco d'Isle, Le Mayflower, Plantation, Sunset Restaurant (at Hotel Hibiscus), PK Zero, and cafes and roulottes in Petit Village shopping center (Iguane, La Paillotte), and Snack Motu (past Petit Village).

Transport provided, if you call for reservation in advance: Les Tipaniers, Tiki Village. Ask Celine at reception to call for you.
