november honeymoon

hello everyone.

my name is ross and me and my soon to be wife are heading back to costa for our honey moon. i have been to CR 5 times and really like the country. we were planning a 2 week trip in the middle to end of november. i really want to visit the osa, and was planning on spending the time between puerto jim and crate. my concern is the wether, i have been in the rainy season but not in the osa, i dont want to gambol on the weather during our honeymoon. what do you guys think? i was also looking at the Caribbean side (manzanillo), it doesnt seem to be as adventure/wildlife? any help would be great, we dont like the touristy areas no joco, Montezuma, Manuel Antonio

I'd go for Manzanillo or anywhere south of Puerto Viejo where the weather should be very good compared to the Osa which should be very wet. There's plenty of adventure and wildlife around Manzanillo. We've seen sloths on every trip, tons of birds, snakes, coatis and more. Never any luck with wildcats but that's true throughout Costa Rica unless you're incredibly lucky. You could check out Congo Bongo beach houses in manzanillo http://www.congo-bongo.com/ and look at their list of "Things to Do" for more detail on adventures in this area. Also check out www.puertviejosatellite.com and http://www.ateccr.org/ for more info. Moon Guide has more lodging ideas for Manzanillo and vicinity. Lots more choices for lodging as you head a couple of miles up the road toward Punta Uva and then Playa Chiquita.

Congratulations and good luck planning.

Another goof one in Manzanillo is El Arbol, two houses in the jungle and lots of wildlife and monkeys around, Howler, Spider and Capuchin.

If you have two weeks...fly to PJ and drive then to Carate...and then fly back to San Jose then drive to CAribbean side of the country ...great summer kind of weather...BEACH TIME...nice and hot days and night ...with Bob Marley and Jimmy Buffet!

I think that may be too much travel for the honeymoon. Se just wants to pick a spot and stay. I really wanna do the osa but worry about the wether. Also I have been Puerto Viejo about 10 years ago

Nice destination.

Weather, not so rainy at the end of November. It doesn't rain as much now as it did 10 years ago.

Hire transportation and enjoy the scenery. A good option is to contact http://www.tucanlimoservices.com/
