late night/early morning travel from San Jose?

I'm trying to coordinate flights, and it looks like the deal we're going to have to do would have us arriving in San Jose at 1:30am - are there any viable options for getting to Montezuma at this time?

Just private transfer is all I can think of, and it would be a long one at that. Best bet is to crash somewhere near the airport for the night, Adventure Inn is a good one to check out.

If you go the route of a private transfer, check the following

Tucan Limousines (Luis) - rocio@tucanlimoservices.com

Jody Mangue - missymoo162000@yahoo.com

Isabel - reservations@costaricarealadventures.com

If you wait till the following day then you can do a shuttle

I don't think so...maybe a private driver, but the ferry won't be running at that hour so you would have to go the long way around, adding a couple hours to the already long drive! My question is why would you want to go at that hour? You will most likely be tired from traveling, and you certainly won't be able to see anything at that hour, and a private driver, if you could find one, will be very costly.

Taxi or private services...

From SJO about 1.5 hours to Ferry in Puntarenas...1 hour and 20 minutes Ferry ride...and about 1 hour to Montezuma even less...

Late night - forget it, chill in a hotel in Alejuela. The last ferry runs at 8pm, and the long way around will be a nuisance, private & expensive

Early morning there are bus, shuttle or private taxi options.

The Nature Air flight is an option too, - you'll need to call them for times & prices
