This looks like the waterfall just outside of town. Just a short 5 min walk up the road. Cant remem the name:( but you will see signs and a path. Worth the walk and you may see howler monkeys on the way if you go in the late afternoon!;)
The name is easy: it's the Montezuma Waterfall, just south of town and an easy walk from any in-town lodgings. There are a number of waterfalls in this area if you're interested in more info see http://www.montezumabeach.com/waterfalls.html
Edited: 5:09 pm, November 10, 2010Montezuma Waterfall - it's about a 15-20 minute hike up the river from the main road. the river (start of the trail) is a 5-10 min walk from town. You can get there from any lodging in Montezuma, it's very simple you just walk towards Cabuya (there's only 1 road) and when you cross the bridge, you will see the sign and the car-park, from there just follow the trail up the river. There is a bit of scrambling over rocks so wear decent shoes
For Lodging - it depends on your budget and if you want to be right in town or outside of town (quieter!). I like Luna Llena (just out of town) or Mar y Cielo (right in town on the waterfront) - both are inexpensive & pleasant places
Ohh so you can walk from town, thats great. So a room in town would be great then. Looking for a room for 3 persons, clean but not to expensive, about 80-100 dollars/night.
