Hotel with easy beach access

I am looking for a hotel in Manuel Antonio that:

*is close to the beach with easy beach access

*beach has chairs from resort to sit in and not have to pay for if possible

*resort is decent - close to other options for food as well

*fewer the children the better

*budget is $200/night or less

Please give me all the options you all have. I would love to know!

Arenas del Mar has private access to the beach, the only problem they are not walk distance to many restaurants (you'll need to take a cab) and they charge more than $200/night but if you are planning to visit them on green season you can get some special rates.

You can also check San Bada, they don't have any private access to the beach (they are not beachfront) like Arenas del Mar, they are close to the main beach and restaurants, and they charge less than $200/night

Another option is Parador, they are close to Biesanz Beach, you can walk there, but there is no beach chairs or places to grab food. Same as Arenas you need to take a cab to visit restaurants around the area. Enjoy!

You can also check out Tulemar. Their resort is beautiful and there are several restaurants, along with a supermarket within walking distance. They also have private access to their beach which comes with a beach bar/restaurant, beach chairs, umbrellas, and a towel station. They provide kayaks and boogie boards as well. It can be a bit of a hike from your room to the beach but they have shuttles to take you all around the resort.

It is not a child-free resort, but when it comes to the pools, there is a dedicated family pool on the resort that you could just avoid.

In addition to the above, Verde Mar and Karahe are also both beachfront. Both are under $200 a night, but neither is "resort" material, and neither has their own beach chairs, cabin boys or drink service on the sand....

You could also mention the time of the year you plan to visit.....hotel rates are the highest during the holidays.....then Dec-April are peak season rates......May-Aug much lower.....and Sept-Nov the lowest of the year.....that might help keep you under your budget.

Also, regardless of where you stay, the prices for beach chairs are really cheap. I think I paid something like $4 a day for a lounger, umbrella, table, and they would watch your stuff while you swim or walk to town for a bite to eat. Also, they would bring cold beers right to your chair :-)

We stayed at Costa Verde. Wonderful property. Good views of the ocean. Have to walk down a hill to the beach. Closest was Playa Espadillo Norte. Many places to rent beach chairs. Mary's was good and brough us drinks and food we ordered. In this area of the coast there are not beachfront properties.

Arenas del Mar has the beach and chairs, as well as Tulemar but neither is likely in your price range. You will probably want to look at Karahe to meet the exact needs you mention. If you pay for chairs (not a big deal) then you can get a cheap hotel like Verde Mar or there are many other options that are a short walk to the beach and some hotels provide shuttle service or the bus is cheap and easy. Enjoy!
