Does anyone know if there is a tour to tortuga island leaving quepos that would include snorkeling ? I'm not sure if its worth a whole day trip, so any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks

This tour can be arranged from the Quepos area, but since it is around 2.5 hrs one way to where the boat launches, it is considered a very long day from our area. Depending on the time of year, it can end up a very wet day too. If even considering this great tour, it is recommended during our dry season. There are many many other excellent tours located in our immediate area that might make for a more fun but relaxing outing. Enjoy!
Not sure it would be worth it--long boat ride on the open ocean for an okay experience. As LivNLarge noted, plenty of other activities to do in the area.
Thanks for the information. 2 1/2 hours makes it an easy decision to do something else.

Yes it is way to far...maybe try to find a tour to Caño Island only about 1.5 hours from Quepos by a nice boat...a lot of life around the island...you will see Turtles...tons of dolphins...and even whales!
Also check the stone spheres inside the island...really somenthing else to see!
