The school is located right in the middle of our little "cafe district".....there are at least 10-12 places to eat within 2 blocks....at least half are in the price range of students/back packers......from Chinese....to "typical"......the school and it's students will show him the way.....and for packing.....the less you bring the better.......shorts/ t's or polos......flip flops.....the basics......sun block is expensive here.....bring your own......and a small umbrella......have a great trip!

Two things we always pack - a rain poncho because it will probably rain and a pair of binoculars for spotting wildlife. Of course all the other stuff like swimsuit, etc. It will be pretty hot.

You mentioned internet access, and I assume you meant wifi for F/Book etc..., and yes, available amongst the cafes as Tulemar Dave points out. Usually there is a cafe password, but most waiters will share it easily. He will have a great time.

Don't worry about your son, it is not a big deal to get around here and there are plenty of places to eat. To keep it cheap and typical, definitely plan to eat at "sodas". These serve typical CR food for cheap and are delicious. Near the school is Angels (right by Super Joseth market) or a few blocks further towards Quepos is Backpackers Typical food. Both are excellent and walking distance from school. If he will be in staying in Quepos, there is Sanchos (by Banco de CR), Come Bien ( in the central market) and many more on every side and main street. The best deal going and the food is really yummy! Internet is available almost anywhere, so no big deal. Beaches are a short easy bus ride for 255 colones (50 cents) and passes every half hour. Once he figures out his way around, he will see how EASY it all is! Enjoy!
