Grocery stores? Food shopping?

We'll be staying in a home in the Mal Pais/Santa Teresa area in the second week of February. Can anyone recommend food shopping to stock our vacation home? Thank you!

There are many grocery stores along the Santa Teresa stretch of road....there is also an organic market. There are stores in Cobano if you want to pick up food there as you pass through.

There are seven grocery stores "Super" in Santa Teresa. All had comparable selection of groceries. Fruits and vegetables varied by the delivery day. Super Ronny's had the best selection of beef. Chicken and seafood is generally frozen rather than fresh. Super Maya was the most spacious and bright and has parking out front. Some have more housewares, clothing, beach toys etc.

We had stopped in Cobano for groceries but that is not necessary as the stores in Santa Theresa were comparable.

I don't think there is a grocery store in Mal Pais but you can get fresh fish at the dock depending on how fishing has gone each morning. The tuna is amazing.

There is a printed map of the street - Santa Teresa map2012 - that we found it at the Adrenalina surf shop.

You'll love it. the beaches are amazing and the people are wonderful.
