 Willie's Tours - Cahuita?

Curious to know if anyone has used Willie's Tours in Cahuita for either their canopy/zip line or white water rafting excursions?

The rafting trip is up on the Pacuare River about 1-1.5 hours outside of Cahuita. It's $100 per person, so we want to make sure it's safe & worth the money.

The canopy trip is at Rio Banano on the Caribbean Coast. We have read reviews that the best canopy tour is up in Monteverde, so we want to make sure this is good/enjoyable/comparable location.

Thanks in advance for your help/advice!

Standard cost for Rafting on the Pacaure which includes pick up from Cahuita or Puerto Viejo is $99. The trip is highly rated and is very popular. Company is very safe and we have never had anyone say it was not worth it.

Most of our clients use rafting trip as a transport option. They will pick up in San Jose and take you rafting and drop off in Puerto Viejo (or Cahuita). You can also do reverse to san Jose or Arenal.

The real time trip is about 1.5 hour minimum trip from Cahuita to Rafting site in Siquerres.

The canopy trip in Carbon is also very popular. This is different then the one that you mention at Rio Banano. The one in Carbon is way better value. However, there is $10 extra charge for pick up in Cahuita versus Puerto Viejo. This makes the cost $65 in Cahuita and $55 in Puerto Viejo.

The rafting trip will meet in Siquierres which is more or less half way between San Jose and Cahuita. So if you plan to travel from either San Jose or even Arenal area to Cahuita (or return way), then I suggest to use the rafting as a transportation option. Great way to spend a day having fun and still get transportation. The price for this trip is $99. There are cheaper rafting options but they either start and end in San Jose or you would have to stay a night in Turrialba area.

Monteverde has for sure good Canopy to offer and lots of different tour operators. So if you plan to go to Monteverde you may want to consider doing the canopy there. The one Terraventura offers near Puerto Viejo is good fun but they charge $10 extra for pickup/dropoff in Cahuita. So this would end in $65 p.p. Alternatively you can catch the public bus to their office in Puerto Viejo to safe the $10.

As far as I know and to answer your question...Willie is a transportation company...they do not operated any rafting trip...they are just the middle men...of course for a commision...I see Willies red van everywhere!

Just ask Willie wich rafting company...and you can even booked yourself.

Just buckle up and enjoy the ride in PARADISE!
