Azania check TA reviews...
Thanks, I checked all the reviews, they both have wonderful reviews. It makes it hard to decide! So you like Azania?
I stayed at Totem in late March and really enjoyed it. My choice had come down to Totem or Azania or Cariblue. I went with Totem primarily because of the sea/beach view. Azania and Cariblue are very close to the beach, but no view of the water. The view and sound of the crashing waves from the 2nd floor beach suite was fantastic. Decent rooms, very big, good food and nice people. One of my great memories of the trip is the morning breakfast, not so much for the food (although it was ok to good) but more for the fact I could grab a coffee in the restaurant and wander across the road to stand on the deserted beach. Nice way to slowly wake up.
Stayed at Azania a year ago... my wife and I and another couple loved it. It had a decent, attractive pretty pool and great simple but fresh breakfasts (fruit, eggs, etc). It is a jungle setting and a 2 minute walk to Cocles Beach (same beach as Totem). Totem isn't on the beach either... it is directly across the road. I'd say Azania is definitely more romantic if that's your gig, while Totem a little more lively.
Azania...simple...but nice...my choice!
Just buckle up and enjoy the ride in PARADISE!
I haven't stayed at Totem, but Azania is very nice and the bungalows are spacious and pretty. Right across the street from the beach.
Two different style hotels, but the views from Totem are priceless.
Just got back and stayed at Cariblue, which is in between Totem and Azania. We went and hung out at Azania and Totem. IMO Azania is nicer, and more quiet. Totem had a better restaurant and priced better then Azania, but the grounds are not as nice. The staff was great in both places. We did see the rooms at both places, and again Azania was better. We stayed at Cariblue because I insisted on having A/C. Like everyone has said, you don't really need A/C if your room has a ceiling fan.
