Here it is again.. Tipping

We usually stay at all inclusives but have decided to venture out and have rented a condo in Playas del Coco. We were wondering about tipping - restaurants, cab drivers, tours, .. also are there any specific products that might be needed that may be hard that we could give as thank-you gifts?

Restaqurants 10% is included at all checks...most of the time we do not tip cab drivers...tours maybe $ 10.00 per person depending on the time and how good the guide was...!

Bring some baseball hats from well known USA teams...we really like them...nice gift!

I know our employees always love digital-water proof watches... Like the ones you can pick up at wal-mart.... They are small and light weight and really hard for people to find out here on the coast.

if the job is outstanding , out of the ordinary, go ahead and give and extra 5%, only if the job is superb, or else 10% is included, as road advisor says, tours $10-20 is ok.

Do bear in mind that your waiter or waitress might not get the 10% service charge on your bill. If the server at your table is helpful and your service is good, consider an extra tip - many staff will be relying on their tips to supplement their salaries.

How considerate of you to be concerned about this! How a great trip!
