re: Zip lining - Rincón???

We are headed down in February staying for 2 weeks in a condo in Playas del Coco (first time NOT doing an all inclusive!!) We stayed at the Paradisus Playa Conchal a few years ago and visited the Arenal Volcano area.. and did the zip lining, thermal pools and waterslide there and loved it.. but we are looking for something closer .. and heard that the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano is closer and has something similiar.. we are taking our two girls (16 and 20) with us.. Does someone have a link to book a tour so that we can see pricing and what they have??

Are there any other MUST do tours.. ??? Super excited about this trip.. this is the first ever in our travels that we are coming back to the same country.. Thanks!!!

Check out http://www.guachipelin.com/ which is up there. They have a lot of tour/day options and you can get a sense of what is possible.

Excellent, I am glad to hear that you are coming back to a country for the first time and that that country is beautiful Costa Rica, I agree with road advisor, difficult to find anything better in the area of Rincón de la Vieja than Hacienda Guachipelin, they have defenetely the best ziplining following the canyon of a river, unique in Costa Rica, then they offer tubbing, horsebackriding to incrdible waterfalls, and also natural hot springs with mud baths.

They offer the one day pass that let´s you do lots of fun activities for a very reasonable price. They are very well organized. Check comments on Adventure Tours Guachipelin here on Trip Advisor.

Rincon de la Vieja Volcano is a great place for everyone. A hike to las Pailas has lots of things to see.

How do the ziplines in rincon de la vieja compare to those around Arenal? We will be in Arenal for a few days and our activities are filling up. I was considering a day tirp to Rincon from Tamarindo later in our trip. Should we zipline in Arenal or are they comparable to where we can wait and do it in Rincon?
