I'm planning a trip to China in March. I've chosen the Radisson New World hotel Shanghai for our first stop, even though it's more than I'd like to pay, it seems to be very nice and new and I'm afraid if I book my second choice, the Ramada Plaza, I'll be disappointed. However I've found a very good price on www.wotif.com (although you can only book a max of 28 days beforehand) and would like to know if anyone has used this website and can give me some feedback. Any info on other good hotel discount sites would be appreciated, as well as opinions about my choices and/or other recommended hotels. I've read a few reports but it's not always clear if the reportee(?) has stayed in a standard room or suite etc and this can make a world of difference.
From Shanghai, I'm tossing up between, Guilin, Xi'an and a Yangtze Cruise on a Regal China boat. Then Beijing for 7 nights. I am looking at the Crowne Plaza Beijing, can anyone give me an opinion about this or another hotel they'd recommend as well as whether the other stops we're planning are worthwhile. Thanks heaps.
