Come to see this best attraction list in Shanghai. But, I'm afraid there might not be free places for you : yeschinatour.com/china-guides/…
Hi what do u mean by free tourist attactions in ShanghaiMost places require a entrance fees except Xintiandi,Bund,YuYuan except the garden. For the rest all require entrance fees like Shanghai Museum,Urban Planning center,Aquarium,Oriental Pearl Tower, observation deck of both the Hyatts.N of cos shopping areas dont have entrance fees.
Shanghai museum is free to enter. But try avoiding visit at weekends, as you may queue very long to enter.
Riverside Promenard at Pudong side. Very good view of the bund and lujiazui financial centre.
Renovated area like Tianzifang, Xintiandi, 1933 are free with shops, restaurants, bars.
Public parks like Fuxing park (best reserved French style park in China.) and People's Park.
Last time that I went to the Shanghai Museum (April) it was free.
The last time i had visited Shanghai museum was ages away n i need to pay.Guss im getting old like the museum n lost tract of the changes at the museum.maybe time to revisit it after bypassing it so many times.
Much of the charm of Shanghai is in the buildings and neighborhoods which can be enjoyed by just walking around. Here is a list of Top Ten things to do on your own - many of which are walking tours:
People like to go to the Bund at night but I also like to go during the day to visit the old buildings. At daytime you can walk in, see the lobby or bank branch. This should not be missed and is obviously free.
