Visa question: u.s. permanent resident to China then Japan |
|
Hi, I am a U.S. permanent resident (green card) with Chinese citizenship that wishes to travel from the U.S. to Shanghai, China, then to Tokyo, Japan, and finally back to the U.S. I think I wouldn't need a visa for just going to China, but what about my trip from China to Japan and then from Japan back to the U.S.? Would I have to get 2 visas with the Japan Consulate, the first one for going to Japan from China at the Shanghai branch and then over here in the U.S. (prior to leaving for China) for coming back here from Japan? I am really confused! I am 18 and wish to go back to visit AND visit Japan for my senior trip. Please someone help lead me to the right information. Thank you! |

If you have a PRC passport, you don't need a visa to enter China, which is your own country! If you have a valid green card (not expired), you don't need a visa to enter USA. All you need is a visa to Japan; you can apply at the nearest Japan Consulate in California. | ||||||
