Does anyone know if the club floors in the Portman Ritz Carlton Shanghai can only be accessed using a key in the elevator? Or are they open to everyone? I have a club suite reserved and will be holding meetings within my room. I want to know if I'm going to have to go to the lobby to pick up my colleagues/clients, or can they just come up without my assistance. Thanks for the info.

last time I was trying to reach that floor, it was. but it was 7 years ago and the hotel service perosnal there very friendly used his key to help me out. I guess they probably is still following the same procedure.

I was there one week ago and find the place as new as 10 years ago.

Generally speaking the chained hotel in shanghai would have a little higher standard compared to their US counterparts, but the Ritz Carlton is an exception, it is not as good as Most Ritz in the states. The PuDong Ritz probably would bring some surprise.

Even though, it is Ritz, surrounding area is very friendly as well. If you would like American Food, you have Tony Romas and Calif Pizza kitchen in the same building. Also if you would like to change the flight, United and NWA and .... are also in the same building.
