10 days in Goa?

We have got some holiday in March (last 2 weeks). Never been to Goa before and think a cheap package maybe the answer.

Is 10 too short and what should we look for?

We are in our 50's but want to go somewhere different for some sun!

Thank you

It takes 2 to 3 days to get over the jet lag and also to get used to the indian way of life. Hope this is a help to your question...

I think you will be lucky to get a cheap package for 10 days as most packages are for 7 or 14 days. 2 weeks would be better if you could manage it, there would be more chance of a cheap package then.

March will definitely be hot in Goa. Do you like it busy with lots of shops, restaurants and markets? Or quieter and more relaxed. In general north Goa is considerably busier than the south which is quieter and less manic.

At the end of March, you won't have to worry about huge crowds.

A/C in your bedroom is advisable, though!

I dont think 10 days package will be much cheaper compared to 14 days- most of the price is still flight tickets... IMHO 2 weeks is absolute minimum.

You can get a ten day package with Monarch, if that is all go can go for,

Travel companies usually offer 7/14 night packages.

My first time I went for three weeks, and loved it.

You will need a/c that time of year, to cool down.

Just do your research on this site, book and enjoy.

Thank you for your responses.

Prefer, quieter locations and good food, though like most people want everything for nothing or at least reasonable price.

Will look at Monarch and try for 2 weeks.

Thank you again

If you can wait a few weeks you may get a good bargain on Jewel in the crown.

If you want a quieter location it's worth having a look at Cavelossim in south Goa. There's a beautiful beach & a good selection of shacks & restaurants.

Thomas Cook advertise flight only from Manchester for 7/10/11 and 14 + nights. Have done 7 nights many times on a last min deal, perfectly do able.

What is Jewel in Crown, is it an agency and why wait a few weeks?
