November in Goa

Hi everyone, I have been to Goa twice before in February, this year we are thinking of going with friends at the beginning of November, can anyone tell me what the weather is like at that time of year? I know it may differ year to year but roughly what is it normally like at that time? Thanks again for your help.

The beginning of November is the start of the tourist season, so things will slowly be coming together.

You may have a little rain and it will be (slightly) more humid than February.

Won't be as busy as Feb either!

One of the benefits in coming in early November is you get to see the festival of Diwali, (festival of lights) which is the Hindu end of harvest and start of the new year.... This year its over the 12th & 13th November, going on for five days

Other than that the resorts are slightly quieter than Feb, and the weather can on the odd night be a little stormy, with a bit of cloud in the mornings, but you should get the sun most days. Some people do notice the drop in temps at night as it is the start of winter, and a jumper may be needed in the evenings, but other than that a great time to be visiting.

Likewise Chrissysport November for us for the past 6 years with no problems. Did go in February 2008 and had unusually cold and windy weather. Not that it lasted for long. Diwali sounds fun - does this cause any problems to restaurants and bars.

No problems at all, you will just the devil being burned as the festival passes over midnight.... Happens in the centre of most villages...
