Anyone planning to visit the island should read this article, www.hondurasthisweek.com/index.php…
is somebody selling something here?
Perhaps they bought a condo there
While many/most of the units have been sold, Infinity Bay manages a rental program for the owners, so the apartments are available for vacationers by the day and/or week. They start as low as $140 per night, so if you enjoy more spacious accommodations with kitchen facilities, it's a great deal!
Spirit Airlines is offering great fares to Honduras from Ft. Lauderdale: San Pedro Sula, Honduras $59* Each Way 4/16, 4/17, 4/19, 4/21, 4/23, 4/24, 4/26, 4/28, 4/30, 5/1, 5/3, 5/5, 5/7, 5/8, 5/10, 5/12, 5/14, 5/15.
From SAP you can take TACA, LACSA OR ISLENA into Roatan. It's not the most convenient routing, but better priced now that it's spring break time.
Spoirit airlines will require a hotel when arriving before heading to Roatan the next day and to be comfortable a hotel when departing as well due to the time of departure. They also charge for every checked bag and only allow one carry on then figure in the cost of flights to Roatan or another day in travel if taking the ferry and your weeks vacation will now have half of it spent traveling.
I find it strange someone advertising Infinity Bay, an upper scale and certainly costly place would be worried about Spirit Air and give up so much vacation time.
I would much rather pay an extra hundred dollars give or take and fly direct to Roatan and be ay my house just after noon and not have to worry about leaving until just a few hours before departure.
I guess if your a backpacker with only one carry on and not really concerned about all the travel issues then its a great deal but most in that position would not stay at IB.
I also find it amusing anyone would sugggest that the article listed should be read by anyone traveling to Roatan. I found it full of useless information. IB is nice from what I heard but I have not Visited West Bay except to drive past in many years and have no desire to since all of the over development.
It is also strange to find this advertisement for IB in the West End forum considering IB is in West Bay.
