Suggestions for HM and how to book trip

I am planning the Honeymoon for myself and my fiance. And we have decided to visit Moorea for approx 7-9 days. We have kind of settled on the Pearl for our hotel, but open to other suggestions. Also should we try to visit another island? Is bora bora a must or one of the other islands better and cheaper? We are on a decent budget, but don't like really fancy or crowded resorts, we do like landscape, diving/snorkeling, hiking, and good cheap food with friendly locals. OWB is a must for at least part of it. What is the best way to find deals? Are they better/similar online or should we definitely consult a travel agent? Suggestions on anything that is a MUST DO.

Hi DMarie:

Happy to help ;) Congratulations on your upcoming marriage!

You could split your trip between Moorea/Bora Bora...usually eight or nine nights is a good split. The airfare onward to Bora Bora is quite expensive ie: $450-$500 per person. Also Bora Bora resorts are also more $ as a general rule. So, your trip will, most likely, be more expensive to visit Bora Bora as well as Moorea.

You may wish to visit the official Tahiti Tourism website to find a Tahiti Tiare Specialist who can put together a package for you. These agents are certified by the tourism board & have traveled to Tahiti (be sure to ask the agent when the last time they were there). Have a peek at the tourism site:

Hope this helps!

sunny regards,
