Villa Lavandra, Trogir |
|
Hi there, I wonder has anyone any information about Villa Lavandra in Trogir (near Split). Website looks good but cant find any other information about it. Thanks for all the great posts in this forum i check it daily! |
|
Did you stay at the Villa Lavandula? I have just booked to stay there in September. Picked it from a book called Special Places to State in Croatia by Alistair Sawday.

I am from Trogir as you see, so I can tell you somethig about it. Villa Lavandula is located 20 min walk from the center, near the beach. It is one of the best local hotels becouse of the extra facilities (gym, sauna, pool-or a jaguzzi in front...) but it is quite a walk, and quite a price for the distance. It has a rich offer, best in town and I suppose that is way you chose it but have in mind that you are not in the center and that parking in center is like 2 € per hour. I think the local hotels give parking included in the price. Hope I have helped. hva a nice time in Trogir.

We also looked at Villa Lavandra plus the following and would like an opinion from anyone, especially from Morana, who lives there! The Apartments Grbesa in Slatine, Apartment Bagi in Vranjica and Apartment Cat in Okrug Gornji. Their websites look good but we would like a personal opinion. We plan to be there in October. Thanks. All the places you mentioned are not in the center of Trogir. Slatine is opposite of Split and it is about 17 km from the center of Trogir, Vranjica about 10 km and Okrug is up to 7, depends which part. If You like history and the reason why You are in Trogir is that (not swimming or similar,, and all that doable from the center by car or walk) look definitely at the center town hotels - those ranked here are the ones I am talking about. In October You can expect the weather to be perfect, not too hot and not colad at all. I cannot comment about the accommodation you asked about, it is private accommodation and there is a lot of the private rooms in the town and around it. For all accommodation in town and around it try www.trogir-online.com and I am sure that you will find what you need.

Thanks Morana, we will have a car so can stay outside the center. We have checked trogir-online and have found much to look at! We plan to drive around the area. Thanks for the weather report and that October is a good time to be there. This is our first time to Croatia.

Hi we ended up booking at the Bellevue Apart/hotel, as it looks like it might have decent beds (we go in July), was walking distance into the centre (500 mts) and parking as well have hire car. Hope its not noisy, though as its on main road (I think) - cant find any street maps for Trogir) Staff very nice and helpful on all enquiries, our room has view to old centre of Trogir. Also because we wanted to do day trips we wanted to be in a position to get off Ciovo/Trogir easily - we are staying in July which is traffic jam time in Trogir I believe. Having said all that can Trogir expert advise on day trip to Hvar or Bol, and which island would you recommend?

Try this site for organized trips www.atlas-trogir.hr/all/izlet.asp?lan=en&id= Anyhow, try to visit Hvar, Bol, Vis and Kornati… since you have a car visit Split… as regards sunbathing, go to Okrug Gornji, or the beach in front of hotel Medena, cca 4 km away from Trogir… bye jeanne
