We have just come back from Yangshuo and we really enjoyed our time there it was very relaxing and the countryside is stunning.
I organized my own trip to China getting all the guides from TripAdvisor.We landed in Guilin and we were met at the airport by Lyndy our guide.
Our guide worked for JadeLeo who operates Guilin Private Tours <email@example.com>;
As I said we were met in Guilin and taken to the Guilin Bravo Hotel, which I had booked myself although Jade would have done this for me.Our guide took us to the hotel in a private car with driver.In the evening she organized for us to go on the night river trip in Guilin which was lovely and not to be missed.
The next morning we left at 9.00am and traveled up to the Longshen rice terraces.We stayed here overnight and really enjoyed the experience,the ethnic minority people were interesting and at night we ate in a local restaurant and saw how locals went about their way of life,the scenery was stunning.
The next morning we left and went down the mountain to meet our driver,who then took us to Yangshuo.
I had chosen to stay in the Mountain Retreat which was a lovely hotel right on the river bank,which we could not fault.
On the way we did do a river trip at the Yandi section of the river and had lunch on the river bank.
We went to watch the Liu Sanjie show in the evening and it was one of the best things on the holiday not to be missed.
The next morning we hired bikes from the hotel and Lyndy came with us on a trip round the local lanes to Moon Hill and the Yulong river,we called at a local Ming Dynasty house where the owners were happy to show you round.
Yangshuo is a nice town, quite busy in the evenings but fun to visit the town at night and do some shopping.
The next morning Lyndy took us to a local market in Fuli Old Town.This was really good to see the locals carrying out their business and making all local products.
We were then driven to the airport in Guilin for our onward journey to Shanghai
