Rio De Janeiro

Hello

Which month is the best time to visit Rio De Janeiro? I would like to see the Christ on the Mountain, and wanted to make sure that I will not hit with the raining season.

Thanks

Hi, "mytrip"!

there is sun during all the year here. we don't have winter, really.

You can see the touristic points any month you decide to visit Rio.

summer (march speccialy) use to be more wet.

but this is changing too and we did'nt have too much rainy days last month.

anyway, if you choose to stay a week, for example, it's difficult to see more than 2 rainy days, the worst condition. it will be a bad luck.

frosty is partially correct, but clouds can roll in during any time of the year and rain is more likely during the "summer" months of Dec to March. However, there is less daytime light from June through August.

I've been in Rio most of the yearly months and say that it is hit and miss, regardless of the season. Two years in a row in July there was only sunshine, one year there were a lot of clouds. Dec and Jan can bring heat, but also showers.

The bigger question you should have is how much heat and humidity can you endure.

Thanks very much for all the replies. What do you think about this itinerary:

Return via panoramic road to the Sao Conrado, Leblon, Ipanema and Copacabana Beaches.

DAY 3: RIO DE JANEIRO

Today we will have a tour to Sugar Loaf. By taking the Aterro do Flamengo, you will be taken to the neighborhood of Urca where it is located one of the largest symbols of the city: the Sugar Loaf. This visit is made in two steps by cable car. The first cable car takes passengers to Urca Hill which is 215 meters high and from where one can have a beautiful view from the Guanabara Bay and its islands, the Rio-Niterói bridge and Corcovado hill. MyTripCalifornia, 7 days for 2 great world-cities does not seem enough, but if you can currently afford only a short time away from work and want to get an idea of what 2 of South America`s best locations are like, just go ahead and do it. And after you fall in love with our part of the world, return and spend more time in different locations - of course, I would say you'll want to explore Brazil more, but always give the hard-working hermanos from Argentina a chance. There are beautiful places there, too, though it's not tropical like Brazil - depends on what you like best.

Boa Viagem! ¡Buen viaje!
