Hi, I have read that dengue is becoming a great problem in many places in Brazil, specially in Rio. We are going to Buzios, via Rio, the first week of June. Can anobody tell me if is it safe going anyway? Does any special care have to be taken?

as long as you are in good health when you arrive in rio, you will be just fine. dengue has about a ten day incubation period. the most you could possibly experience is mild flu symtoms when you return home. your best defense is a good insect repellant.
