Travelling from Rio to Iguacu - very expensive quote

Hi there,

Accessing from the UK, return flights from Rio to Iguacu later in March is expensive (£350 pp).

Does anyone have any tips on getting a cheaper flight when in Argentina or Brazil?

Very much appreciate a response, thanks

I just bought tickets one-way from Rio to Iguacu for January 2015 -- $100 US dollars each person on GOL from the International Airport in Rio (code GIG). Non-stop flight at 10:10AM. I believe there is a late night flight also.

Check if your flight is leaving from SDU, which is Rio's regional airport -- more expensive.

Flights from GIG (intl' airport) are usually cheaper.

Other than that, it's highly advisable to use a multiple-search engine website. It's the only way I get decent fares in Brazil.

Keep in mind the only via GIG you will have access to nonstops flights to Foz do Iguaçu. At the SDU you will have to connect to another flight at São Paulo.

Do not get Pluma buses anywhere in Brazil.

Unless you want to be part of a parcel courier service for the company addting about 6 hours to your journey on old filthy buses where the aircon does not work property and should be scrap metal 10 years ago.. avoid avoid avoid!
