Kawachi Fuji Garden - does this place exist?

I've found some stunning pictures of wisteria in a botanical garden, rumored to be in Kitakyushu. But searches of the garden's name, "Kawachi Fuji Garden" have turned up nothing on tourist information sites, only more hits of blogs all copying each other and referring to the same pictures of wisteria.

Does this place look familiar to anyone? Has it changed names? I found the Shiranoe Botanical Garden website, and nothing is popping out at me that it could be the same garden. I've also tried just searching for the garden name, without regard to location, and had no luck there either.

Or does anyone have any suggestions of alternate keywords I should be using in my search? I would love to visit here if I make it back to Japan, but I don't want to turn up in the wrong city looking for a garden that isn't there.

See this blog post for the stunning pics. http://stomaster.livejournal.com/1102877.html

Thanks for any help!

The park does exist, but the following information webpage is only in Japanese.

Thank you! This is perfect. I had read through the English version of that site but didn't see the categories of events, sport, artistic culture, etc. that they display in the Japanese version. Google translate has helped some, though I know it's not perfect.

If you are not confined to Kyushu only, note that a more popular destination for wisteria is the Ashikaga Flower Park in Honshu’s Tochigi Prefecture

From JR Yahata station take Nishitetsu bus #56 and get off at Kawachi Elementary School followed by 10-15 min walk to the garden passing Ajisai-no-Yu onsen en-route.

A lot depends on the location and the unpredictable weather, but normally the optimum time is from late April to mid May in the garden mentioned by the OP.

OP,

Should you come to Nara in early-to-mid May, do visit Kasuga Shrine and Manyo Botanical Garden:
