Advice for airport traveler from bwi to Arlington

Will be in Arlington last week of Feb for business travel. Thinking of flying into BWI bc I like nonstop service on SWA and would like to know what is the best way to get from bwi to arlington ballston area? Please help. Thanks!

If you are flying from Austin, there is now a daily non-stop flight on Southwest to DCA (Reagan National). This would be your best option as DCA is right in Arlington.

If you do fly to BWI, you have several options--all of which are described on the BWI website or one of the Top Questions from the Washington, D.C. forum:

bwiairport.com/en/…ground-transportation

tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g28970-i40-k300107…

The "easiest" option would be a taxi or driving a rental car, but this would also be the most expensive. Be aware that the traffic between BWI and D.C. (and Arlington) can either be a breeze or a real PIA.)

The least expensive option would be public transportation--either a train to Union Station and then Metro to Ballston or a bus to the Greenbelt Metro station and Metro to Ballston. Those options would take the most time.

Then, in between, is the Super Shuttle.
