We arrive in Austin April 1st for 10 days. We would love to see some kind of game while there. We are not sporty people but would like the chance to soak up the atmosphere. We do not mind what we see. I have tried to google events but didn't get much joy. Can anyone help?

Pro basketball season ends April 17. The San Antonio Spurs are nearby. Also Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks.
Pro baseball season starts March 31st. Houston Astros and Texas (Dallas/Arlington) Rangers would be your choice.
The local minor league baseball team (sort of a training league), the Round Rock Express starts their season on April 4th.

It's a very nice minor-league park, and there's a Salt Lick BBQ in the parking lot. Granted, it's not the same as going down to the original Salt Lick, but it's still good.
