First time visiting Bodrum and I finally narrowed the hotels down to a few. Please let me know your feedback out of the ones below:

Sandima 37 Hotel Bodrum - Yalikavak

Thank you!

These hotels are in different areas of the Bodrum peninsula so I would suggest you first decide on which town you would like.Bodrum is the largest resort and also a working city so lots going on. Yalikavak is a very nice resort about 25km North of Bidrum , not too commercialised and still quite an authentic Turkish feel to it.lots of bars and restaurant and a nice new marina . Attracts as many Turkish as international visitors. Nice beachfront and Sandima 37 gets good reviews. It is about 20 mins by dolmuş (bus) to Bodrum centre. Bitez is more popular with tourists and is closer to Bodrum with a nice beach with lots of restaurants and then an older village a bit from the beach. GolTürkbuku is the farthest from Bodrum - 40 mins or so and is a very upmarket Turkish resort frequented by wealthier and glamorous Turks. Some nice restaurants and shops and more expensive than Bitez or Yalıkavak.

What kind of resort are you looking for?

Friends in Turkey suggest Turkbuku.. so I guess i could book the Maca Ziki ..reviews are ok.. there's mention of loud clubby music past midnight which is fine but not if I'm in a room close to it. On the other hand, the Doria Hotel in Bitez gets better reviews. How's Torba? Casa Dell'Arte also has very positive reviews and it's in Torba.

Torba is only a small village, only a hand full of bars and resteraunts, the dolmus to Bodrum takes only 10 mins for more nightlife..The Casa Dell'arte is on the beach front and looks quite a select posh hotel,we stay further a long the beach at the Izer Beach Hotel for the last 2 years and are returning again in June. Its such a tranquil little place set in a lovely bay..But all the resorts on the Bodrum Peninsula are nice..We have also stayed in Turkbuku but on the edge not exactly in the villge its self,At the Voyage Turkbuku..Which was very nice but we prefer Torba..

Here is a link to a very informative blogsite by ex-forumite Kozano about Turbuku - should give you an excellent idea of what it is like.

Thanks all. I'm leaning towards Turkbuku .. just a little intimidated after reading this about Maca Ziki: (we did the club scene years ago and at this point in our lives it's the last thing we want to do on vacation)

i'll see what my fiancé likes better.. As long as we're not feeling like we're literally in a club 24/7 that's fine. I think the Divan is in the same price range.
